ABOUT THE HOTEL
Welcome to hotel De witte handt. Our hotel has four single rooms and 11 double rooms, each with its own charm. From idyllic single rooms with a view of Midsland to spacious double rooms with private bathroom. All our rooms have their own sink and (shared) bathroom directly in the hall. Hospitality is of paramount importance to us. We feel it is important to create a homely atmosphere and offer all our guests a warm welcome. We do this not only in our cozy living room or cozy dining room but also by decorating the rooms with attention to detail.

Products with a story
products with a story In our hotel we only work with products that we stand behind. All our rooms are painted with eco-friendly paint, our quilts are made of eco-cotton and we recycle as much as possible. This is also reflected in the products in the rooms. For example, each room has a Nespresso machine with sustainable coffee from the Koffiejongens and organic tea. Also, each room is equipped with the delicious care products of The gift label. These are vegan sulfates and dyes free care products that are produced organically in the Netherlands.BREAKFAST AT SEA
In high season we offer two options for breakfast. You can choose between breakfast at sea or in our hotel. For breakfast at sea we offer a package with the ZandZeeBar. How wonderful is it to have breakfast on the beach with a cup of delicious freshly brewed coffee? If you prefer to have breakfast in our hotel, this is also possible. Unlike many other hotels, you can have breakfast with us a la carte. We do this to prevent wastage.
LOCATION
Midsland is the second largest village of Terschelling, very centrally located in the middle of the island, between West-Terschelling and Formerum. Both stores and cafes and restaurants are plentiful in this cozy village and from here it is about a seven minute bike ride to Midsland aan Zee. Here the sandy beach is very wide and very suitable for children. During the summer vacations a lifeguard of the KNRM is present.
Terschelling is a beautiful, versatile island with plenty of forest, dunes, beach, mud flats and much more beauty to discover. With a length of 28 kilometers and a width of almost 4 kilometers the island is the second largest Dutch Wadden Island. The island has over 80 kilometers of bicycle paths, more than 200 kilometers of hiking trails and 55 kilometers of bridle paths. In the west there is an enormous beach area: the Noordsvaarder, in the middle a large dune area with to the south the polder and the mud flats, and in the east you will find Boschplaat: a beautiful nature reserve that also covers half the island.
